Revit Sheet View Rename
This tool was developed in response to a LinkedIn post to "Revit Users" - Hey Guys, I'm looking for a solution to name View Names of all viewports. I want the view name to always equal the sheet number + detail number + Title on Sheet. Is there a way to make that happen also making it editable once I run the add in or parameter? Does any one have any suggestions to do this? Thank you.
To use the tool, download the zip file and extract and run the installer. After the addin is installed you should see the AEC BIM Tools buttons in the Add-ins Ribbon:
When the Sheet Views Rename tool is run, you will see a list of the sheets that have views. Each view will list it's Current View Name as well as the Required View Name conforming to <Sheet Number>-<Detail Number>-<Title on Sheet>. Simply check the views you would like to rename and hit the Rename Views button:
Version 1.1 has added options for adding leading 0's to single digit Detail Numbers (e.g. "01"), choosing between a couple of delimiter options and added an optional suffix.

The installer will support all releases of Revit from 2019 through to 2023. The download will be in the form of a Zip file that should be extracted in order to run the installation program. Note: it may be necessary to 'unblock' the zip through it's File Properties.
